Michael Peterson (Métis Nation of Saskatchewan) is a screen printer, curator, and arts administrator originally from Saskatoon/Treaty 6. There he co-founded the artist-run centre Void, working to move control of the means of artistic production back into community. The major focus of this work has been building printmaking studios and teaching screen printing throughout Saskatchewan, including with Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op, so that youth and other artists can design and print what they want. He is continuing this work with Indigenous and racialized youth in Ottawa through [http:]SAW's Nordic Lab. He co-runs Shop Cold Pizza, a screen print and risograph brand and is a Program Officer for the Canada Council for the Arts. He received a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009 and an MDes (Master of Design) from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver in 2015.
